CASEY council has denied metropolitan media reports there is a Parvovirus outbreak in the municipality.
It was reported at least four puppies have died from the virus outbreak and some puppies in a pet store located in the City of Casey were sick.
City of Casey Director Community Development Sophia Petrov said the City of
Casey was committed to ensuring the welfare of all pets in the municipality, through the regulation of pet breeders, retailers and owners.
“The business concerned has worked co-operatively with the City of Casey during council investigations into a suspected outbreak of Parvovirus,” Ms Petrov said. “Investigations have confirmed there is no Parvovirus outbreak
in Casey.”
