THE Casey-Cardinia Rotaract Club will be having a barbecue on Australia Day to raise money for charity.
They will be cooking snags at the City of Casey citizenship ceremony, to be held at the Cranbourne Community Theatre from about 2pm.
Club president Cameron Ross said the barbecue, in its second year, is a major fundraiser, and they hope to raise about $700.
“It was a two-fold success last year; we had the barbecue, but we also had a tin out for donations, so overall we raised about $650,” he said.
“At the moment, we don’t have a specific charity, but it’ll most likely be the Royal Children’s Hospital’s Good Friday appeal.”
