Call goes out for carnival

THE City of Casey is currently calling on potential stallholders for a fun-filled and popular council event.
The council is currently taking expressions of interest for those wishing to participate in the Casey Kids Carnival, which is now its 13th year.
It is due to be held on Saturday 24 March at Akoonah Park, Berwick.
Thousands of visitors attend the event each year to enjoy a wide range of child-friendly activities along with food stalls and community displays.
Interested novelty, general market and food and beverage stallholders are encouraged to submit an expression of interest to participate in the event.
City of Casey manager community strengthening Janette Green said the Casey Kids Carnival was a major free event which included rides, children’s entertainers, local performers and market stalls.
“It’s a great day out for the whole family and this year more than 10,000 people attended, so it is a worthwhile event for stallholders to be involved in,” she said.
Those interested in applying to be a stallholder visit www.casey.vic.gov.au/caseykidscarnival or contact City of Casey Customer Service on 9705 5200 to obtain an expression of interest form.
Expression of interest forms should be forwarded to events@casey.vic.gov.au by 5pm on Friday 6 January. No late applications will be accepted.
Stallholders will be informed of the outcome of their expression of interest application within 21 days of applications closing.
