On-call waste disposal

HARD waste collection for Casey residents is now just a phone call away.
Waiting for the twice-annual scheduled hard waste collection is now a thing of the past with the council introducing a new system.
Due to improvements to the council’s hard waste collection service, residents can prebook up to two hard waste collections per household each year, at a time that is convenient.
Residents are encouraged to call 9729 9100 to book their first on-call collection.
City of Casey manager waste management Michael Jansen said the council was committed to increasing the rate of recycling with more material from the hard waste collection being sent for recycling, including e-waste, metals, white goods, mattresses and the new addition of up to four car tyres per property.
In 2010-11, the council’s twice-annual hard waste service collected 9403 tonnes of waste, including 539 tonnes of green waste and 82 tonnes of e-waste.
The changes to the hard waste collection service are part of a new collection contract with Transpacific Cleanaway, which has also included the introduction of new state-of-the-art hard waste collection trucks.

Transpacific Cleanaway on 9729 9100 to make a booking for the collection of hard waste.
