Display home stripped bare

By Bridget Cook
THIEVES almost gutted a display home in Lyndhurst when they broke in last weekend.
The offenders forced entry through the back door to the Henley display home in Biscay Grove on Sunday 26 June.
Police said they believed the offenders had gone through the home previously and put tape over the sensors for the alarm system. The alarm system was not activated during the burglary.
Zoe Rhodes, from Henley Properties Group, said almost all the contents of the home were stolen, both furnishings and appliances.
“What they could get out the back door, they took,” she said.
“They didn’t take some of the larger items like the couch and table, but took everything else including dining room chairs and mirrors.”
An exact value for the items stolen is not known, but it is expected to be in the tens of thousands.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Casey Criminal Investigation Unit on 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
