Export awards

BUSINESSES in the south-east are being encouraged to apply for the prestigious 2011 Governor of Victoria Export Awards.
The awards aim to celebrate the excellence and achievements of the state’s best exporters.
South Eastern Metropolitan Region MP Inga Peulich said the awards would put Victoria’s achievements into the spotlight, providing increased business credibility and boosting staff morale.
“It can give you access to new resources and new markets and help to underpin companies’ ongoing export success,” she said.
“I encourage all exporters in the south-east to support the 2011 Governor of Victoria Export Awards and look forward to discovering more world-class export stories that are unfolding across this state.”
Now in its 32nd year, the awards are presented across 14 categories during a formal ceremony at Government House in October.
Victorian winners are then eligible to participate in the 2011 Australian Export Awards, with the winners being announced in Brisbane in November 2011.
Applications for this year’s awards can be made until Thursday 14 July.
