The art of the elements

TWO exhibitions by local artists will be on display at the Civic Centre Art Space in Narre Warren.
Jenny Conn’s exhibition, titled ‘Solar, Earth, Fire’, features ceramic and jewellery creations made from porcelain clay, glass and precious stone pieces.
An accomplished potter, her work is inspired by the elements and the jewellery pieces are finished with copper-plated rose gold and silver and sterling silver.
Cristina Rus’s oil painting exhibition, called ‘Fields’ displays a series of textured, resonant paintings exploring juxtaposition and repetition.
Ms Rus enjoys making art as a response to her emotions, state of mind, frustrations and stresses and is particularly interested in the themes of memory and loss.
The exhibitions will be on display at the City of Casey Civic Centre on Magid Drive, Narre Warren until Thursday 2 June.
