Get set for winter art

THE City of Casey’s annual Winter Arts Program will see the return of the Winter Arts for Casey Kids workshop series for the July school holidays.
This year, the City of Casey is offering two weeks of exciting and free arts workshops for children all around Casey.
Activities on offer this year include cartooning, jewellery making, circus arts, African drumming, balloon sculpting, magic skills, animal mask making, Bollywood dance and a unique parent and child face painting workshop.
City of Casey mayor Shar Balmes praised the program and encourages parents and kids to get involved.
“Winter Arts for Casey Kids is a wonderful opportunity for local kids to explore their creativity. It’s also a great way for them to socialise and stay active during the holidays,” she said.
The first week of workshops will start in Doveton and travel to Blind Bight, Hampton Park, Pearcedale and Devon Meadows. The second week of activities will be held at The Factory Rehearsal Centre for the Arts, Cranbourne East.
Workshop bookings open on Monday 30 May at 9am. Call 9705 5200 to book. For more information, visit www.casey.vic.gov.au/arts
Limited to two workshop bookings per child, maximum numbers apply for all workshops and bookings are essential as places are strictly limited.
All workshops are free. Children must be accompanied by an adult at all times.
