Kids on track

GOOD weather ensured Cranbourne Secondary College students enjoyed a day on the track for the school’s annual athletics carnival.
More than 700 students, from Years 7 to 12, travelled to Ballam Park in Karingal for the event.
Students dressed up in their house colours and took part in the range track and fields events, as well as novelty games organised by the student representative council.
Brunt House was the winning house on the day.
An award was presented to the champion from each age group. Some of the winners included Emma Adamson who was named age 13 girls’ champion, Brandon-Lee Elsworth who was age 13 boys’ champion, Kaitlin Adamson who was age 20 girls’ champion was and Thomas Nuzzaco who was age 20 boys’ champion.
Cranbourne Secondary College sports co-ordinator Kate Faulkner said the day was a great success.
“Everything went really well and the weather was good, which makes a difference,” she said.
“All the staff came and helped out on the day, which was a really good effort.”
