BAXTER Pre-School has received funding from the Department of Education and Early Childhood Development to give every four-year-old at their centre a minimum of 15 hours of kindergarten per week.
Baxter is one of only two kindergartens on the Mornington Peninsula involved in this pilot project, which tests the challenges likely to face kindergarten services in Victoria in 2013 when the National Early Childhood reforms will change the current requirement of 10.75 hours per week to 15 hours per week.
Baxter Pre-School will also host an open day on Sunday 15 May to celebrate which will include children’s activities, the chance to see resources and facilities, meet staff and talk about programs offered.
