Mural magic

A MURAL to celebrate the history, growth and vibrant diversity of Hampton Park has been created by the City of Casey and the Hampton Park Progress Association.
The mural is a project jointly funded by the City of Casey and the State Government via the Community Renewal program, and will be installed at the Arthur Wren Hall in Hampton Park.
City of Casey mayor Shar Balmes has praised the project.
“This mural is a reflection of Hampton Park’s wonderful community spirit and that spirit has been on show with so many locals lending a hand to finish it,” she said. Leading local artist Rob Matheson has overseen the project, working with local indigenous artists Beryl Wilson, Adam Magennis and Margaret Worn.
The project has also engaged local primary and secondary students along with more than 100 enthusiastic volunteers from across the community.
The completed mural will be launched at the Arthur Wren Hall, Stuart Avenue, Hampton Park on Saturday 2 April.
