Car fire probe

POLICE are seeking information to a suspicious car fire in Narre Warren South on Sunday morning.
Police said the car, a 2004 model, red Holden Commodore sedan, was set alight while it was parked outside the victim’s home at 35 Community Parade, Narre Warren South about 2am.
The offenders forced open the fuel tank cover, wrapped cloth around a piece of wire and set it alight, before placing it in the fuel tank, police said.
A white, possibly late ’80s to ’90s model hatch, was seen by a neighbour driving off.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Detective Senior Constable Joshua Morgan at Casey CIU on 9705 3111 or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
