Youths in gang theft

POLICE are seeking witnesses to a robbery in Cranbourne last weekend, where four friends had their mobile phones stolen.
Detectives from Casey CIU said a girl and three boys were sitting in the car park of a fast food outlet in Camms Road, Cranbourne at 3.15am when they were approached by a group of youths.
Police said the group of five youths, one armed with a golf club, surrounded the victims and demanded their mobile phones.
The victims handed over three mobile phones and an ipod.
As the youths walked away, one of the men then threw the girl’s phone onto the ground, which she later retrieved.
The five youths were described as being of Islander appearance, in their late teens and about 180cms tall.
Police said the youth who took the phones from the victims was of medium build, wearing blue jeans, white shoes, and a red long-sleeved top with a black baseball cap.
A second youth was of solid build, wearing three quarter length camouflage pants and top, white shoes and a purple baseball cap.
The third youth was of medium build, wearing dark jeans and black shoes, red T-shirt and a white baseball cap.
The fourth youth was of solid build, wearing three quarter length green cargo pants, white shoes, a dark long sleeve top, wearing a pink hat and carrying a golf club.
The fifth youth was of solid build, wearing black pants, and a black shirt with white sleeves.
All the youths were wearing bandannas to cover their faces throughout the robbery.
Detectives are urging anyone who may have witnessed the robbery or anyone with information to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
