Easter teen plan to beat the boredom

THE City of Casey has organised an action-packed Easter Teenage Holiday Program, to help keep local youth entertained during the term-one break.
This week, the council released the holiday program, which will run from 11 to 21 April, from Monday to Thursday.
Catering for young people between the ages of 12 and 17, the program includes fun, age-appropriate activities at reasonable prices.
City of Casey director community services Greg Wood said the popular program included activities such as ice skating, hip-hop classes, rock climbing, go-karting and Laser Force.
“Each school holiday we offer a wide variety of low-cost activities for young people, not only to alleviate the pressure for working parents to find alternative care for their children during holidays, but to also encourage young people to make valuable connections within our community and their peers,” Mr Wood said.
Transportation to and from holiday program activities is available, and designated pick-up and drop-off points are located in Cranbourne, Berwick, Hampton Park, Fountain Gate, Endeavour Hills and Doveton.
All City of Casey School HolidayProgram activities are fully super-vised by qualified Council Youth Services Officers and are smoke, drug and alcohol free.
Parents are encouraged to book early as limited spaces are available. Bookings open on 23 March 2011. A compulsory waiver form must be completed by parents in order to process a booking.
For a full description of activities available and booking information, visit www.insideinfo.casey.vic.gov.au or contact City of Casey Customer Service on 9705 5200.
