Longest lunch on track

A SEVEN-course feast featuring local produce will be served on the home straight of the Cranbourne Racecourse tomorrow.
The Rotary Club of Cranbourne will host the Casey World’s Longest Lunch on 4 March as part of the 2011 Melbourne Food and Wine Festival.
About 120 people are expected to sit down to a lunch that includes locally sourced meats, cheese, fresh fruit and vegetables.
A market truck with local fruit and vegetables will be at the racecourse and a harpist will provide entertainment between courses.
The Casey event is one of 25 regional Victoria World’s Longest Lunch events.
All money raised will go towards local community projects run by the Rotary Club of Cranbourne.
