IT was cricket with a touch of pink when the Lyndhurst Vikings Cricket Club held a Pink Stumps Day at Endeavour Hills on Saturday – raising more than $2000 for the McGrath Foundation.
The regular cricket staples of wickets, hats and gloves turned pink, as the club took part in the nationwide fundraiser.
The event was also a ladies day, with raffles, auctions and a sausage sizzle.
Club member Ian Fuller said everyone thoroughly enjoyed the day, and the opposition even chipped in to make donations.
“I think the day was really enjoyed by everyone,” he said.
Mr Fuller said he hoped the ladies day would become an annual event for the club.
