ABOUT 300 people enjoyed a movie under the stars to celebrate Australia Day in Tooradin.
The popular sunset cinema came to life again last week with the screening of Toy Story 3, and was hailed a roaring success.
The Balla Balla Lions Club held the event with the help from various businesses and the City of Casey.
It kicked off with a free sausage sizzle, and there was plenty to keep the children entertained, including a magician, face-painters, a Playdough stall, colouring-in stall and an AFL handball stand.
Popular identity Lady Uppity Crust also kept the crowds entertained as the master of ceremony.
Balla Balla Ward councillor Geoff Ablett, Australia Day ambassador Pete Smith and former AFL player Michael Roach were special guests.
Roach spoke about the memorable events in his football career.
Lions club president Colin Butler said a group of highly motivated and community-focused people helped realise the event.
Mr Butler said the club welcomed new members and those interested should call 0438 331 112.
