Cars set alight

PETROL was poured under two cars before they were set on fire in a Narre Warren driveway last week.
The occupier of the home on Nicholas Court woke to noise and a strange smell on 12 January and discovered two of the four cars parked in the driveway – a Ford Falcon XR8 sedan and a Ford Falcon XR6 – were set alight.
Police said petrol had been poured under both of the cars, and over the boot of one of them, before they were set on fire some time between 3.10am and 3.50am. The cars were significantly damaged, police said. A stolen vehicle with South Australian number plates was recovered nearby, which police believe could be linked to the car fires.
Details call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
