POLICE are investigating two fires lit on the same day.
About 6pm on 11 December rubbish and other items were set on fire in a trolley bay at the Coles supermarket at the corner of Monahans and Duff streets, Cranbourne.
The fire began at the base of a drainpipe, caused it to spread and damage the drainpipe and trolleys.
About 6.30pm the same day a hedge on Parkhill Drive in Berwick caught fire. Residents contained the blaze and police attended after noticing smoke during a routine patrol.
The CFA hosed down the hedge but could not determine the cause of the fire.
