Day of days for Oz

A RANGE of free community events will be held in the City of Casey on Australia Day.
Celebrations will take place in Hampton Park, Berwick, Tooradin, Cranbourne East and Doveton.
Casey mayor Shar Balmes encouraged people to gather and enjoy the free community events.
The events include:

Hampton Park

The Day of Nations at Robert Booth Reserve, Sommerville Road.Featuring breakfast, multicultural performances, face painting, jumping castle and animal farm. It will be held from 9am to noon. Contact Tony O’Hara on 0438 377 283.

Berwick

Australia Day Celebrations at Pioneers Park, Peel Street. Featuring live performances, children’s activities, vintage car display and food stalls.
It will be held from 10am to 3pm. Contact Greg Cornelius on 0458 661 899.

Tooradin

Tooradin Sunset Cinema, Sawtell’s Inlet.
Featuring an open-air cinema screening Toy Story 3, free barbecue, face painting, food stalls and live entertainment. It will be held from 6.30pm to 11pm. Contact Peter Martin on 0417 510 914.

Cranbourne East

Passport to Casey’s Cultural Heritage Showcase, Balla Balla Centre, 65 Berwick-Cranbourne Road.
Featuring activities showcasing Casey’s multiculturalism including painting, drawing, musical instrument and dance workshops.
It will be held from 11am to 6pm. Contact Patricia Kimtia on 0403 206 735.

Doveton

Actively Diverse Doveton, Autumn Place Garden, Paperback Street.
Featuring food stalls, dance and musical activities, face painting and community group displays and sports activities.
