A 24-year-old Narre Warren woman was home alone when two teenagers walked into her house last month.
Police said two boys about 13 or 14 years old entered the house on Fauna Court through an unlocked door sometime between 10.55am and 11.04 am on 19 November.
Police said the woman initially believed the intruders were her parents, who live across the road, before she realised the two boys were standing near her kitchen table.
The woman yelled out to the boys and told them she would call the police, and they fled over the back fence into a reserve area.
One of the boys wore a white peaked cap and the other had fair hair, police said.
Anyone with information can call Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
