A PHOTOGRAPHER has pleaded with thieves to return stolen computer hard drives that contain his life’s work.
Kilcunda man Tony Middleton said his photography equipment, including hard drives and back-up hard drives, were stolen during a house break-in on Monday.
“They contain all my images, which is a life’s work of travelling remote corners of the country,” he said.
Mr Middleton shoots large-scale panoramic images.
Irreplaceable shots on the hard drive include Lake Eyre in flood, a desert picture that took three days to get, and pictures of Mr Middleton’s deceased father.
“It hurts like hell, it took years of slog to get that stuff on the hard drive,” he said. “It is irreplaceable, priceless.”
A small red station wagon was seen leaving the area at the time.
Anyone with information is asked to contact Wonthaggi Police or Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
