A MASS Zumba class will be held in the carpark of Casey RACE next weekend as part of the inaugural Great Workout.
The two-hour class is aimed at helping people of all ages to get active and raise money for the local community for YMCA Open Doors.
It is hoped at least 200 people will take part in the class, and raise about $3000.
Casey RACE manager Mark Arneil said YMCA Open Doors was a way of supporting people experiencing disadvantage to access health and recreation services in Casey.
“The Great Workout is about people having fun by getting active and involved in a huge Zumba class. The participant’s donation to the Great Workout will assist those less fortunate in their own communities,” Mr Arneil said.
YMCA centres across Victoria will be holding a range of events for the Great Workout in November.
The zumba class will take place at 10.30am on Saturday, 27 November.
