A RE-ELECTED Labor Party will build a new primary school in Cranbourne North.
Estimated to cost between $5million and $6million, the school will be built in the development area bordered by Thompsons Road and Clyde Road.
The announcement was made last week when Education Minister Bronwyn Pike visited Alkira Secondary College.
Narre Warren South MP Judith Graley said the announcement was crucial for a growing area such as Casey.
Ms Pike said students would have state-of-the-art facilities at the new school.
“We understand parents in our growing suburbs want the best for their children and that’s why we’ll invest a brand new primary school in Casey – to give every young person the opportunity to get the best education possible,” she said.
