Face smashed in road rage attack

A 72-YEAR-OLD man was punched in the head in Hallam when he approached a driver who came too close for comfort.
Police said the 72-year-old was driving on Pound Road about 4.45pm on 28 September when an early model white commodore sedan followed him closely behind.
The victim got out of his car to approached the other driver, and was punched on the left side of his head.
The man suffered fractures to his cheekbone and underwent reconstructive surgery.
Police are looking for the driver of the other car, who is described as 20 to 25 years old, about 178cm, stocky build, dark brown hair and wore a white T-shirt.
The car had no registration plates, police said.
