MORE than 80 golfers teed off for a good cause on Tuesday, raising more than $20,000.
Local businesses came together to form teams for the 16th annual Make A Wish Charity Golf Day, which raises money for the Cardinia-Casey branch of the Make A Wish Foundation.
Organiser Brian Paynter said it was a wonderful day at the Cranbourne Golf Course, with a great atmosphere out on the course.
“It builds the relationship with local business and a very worthwhile charity,” Mr Paynter said.
“A lot of the business people are family people as well. It’s a good way for them to show their support to children with terminal illnesses.”
Golfers heard from a 14-year-old girl on Tuesday, who had her wish granted to meet young movie star Zac Efron.
The major sponsors for the event are Facey Industrial Commercial, ANG Lamattina, Charter Keck Cramer and Consolidated Insurance Agencies.
