CASEY mayor Lorraine Wreford will take a three-week break from council in the lead-up to the State Election.
Councillor Lorraine Wreford is the Liberal candidate for the seat of Mordialloc, and will take a leave of absence from 8 November to 27 November to focus on her campaign.
Cr Wreford said it would be unfair to try and juggle both roles at that time. Cr Wreford said she would also hand in the mayoral car. Cr Geoff Ablett is also contesting a seat in the State Election. He is the Liberal candidate for Cranbourne, but did not confirm at the council meeting on Tuesday night whether he would take a leave of absence.
