HAMPTON Park Primary School took centre stage at Hisense Arena on the weekend as part of the 2010 Victorian State School Spectacular.
Twenty boys and girls from the Hampton Park school were among 2500 primary and secondary students from around the state to perform in the spectacular ‘Shine On’.
The students had rehearsed for about two terms in the lead up to the event to perfect their four dance routines.
The children performed dance routines to Man in the Mirror, We Are Family, Superman and Let’s Get Loud for the finale.
Hampton Park Primary School Visual Arts teacher Kerry Eeckman said the students were so excited for the event, which would only happen once in their lifetime as a primary school student.
Performing Arts teacher Victoria Rendall, Mrs Eeckman and parent Pauline Kelcey supported the students and put together the routines.
