RACE blown up

By Bridget Cook
BIRTHDAY parties at Casey RACE just got a whole lot more fun after the centre received an inflatable play facility.
The Cranbourne recreation and aquatic centre has obtained a new 20-metre long, inflatable obstacle course which ends with a slide.
The City of Casey funded the inflatable, which cost just under $12,000.
Casey RACE Aquatic Director Janelle Falkingham said it was the only thing like it at the centre and one of the biggest ones that has been made.
“The inflatable will only be available for birthday parties booked at Casey RACE, as well as for a program we run called Aquatic Adventure program,” she said.
The inflatable was used for the first time last week as part of an Aquatic Adventure program with Marnebek School Cranbourne and Benton Junior College, Mornington.
“The feedback was really good,” Ms Falkingham said.
“It was very popular … the kids just love it.”
