Pets blessed at show

PET lovers can give their four-legged friends a head start into dog heaven this weekend.
St Agatha’s parish in Cranbourne will host a pet show on Saturday from 10.30am, with Father Wise blessing pets from noon onwards.
One of the organisers, Kevin Harris, said the inaugural pet show would include a range of competitions such as the pet most like its owner, the smallest, largest and weirdest.
Money raised from the event would go towards the Raise the Roof campaign.
Mr Harris said he believed many people would look forward to the opportunity to have their pets blessed.
“For some people out there, their pets are their children,” he said.
The pet show will be held from 10.30am on 18 September.
