Get ready for street spectacular

CASEY residents are encouraged to head to High Street early for a jam-packed schedule of entertainment before thousands of motorbikes rev their engines.
The action for the MRA Cranbourne GP Run will kick off at 8.15am on 16 October, with plenty of entertainment for families.
Mayor Lorraine Wreford encouraged families attend the large event.
“After the huge popularity of the children’s activities being extended at last year’s event, all of the activities will again be offered until 11 am, providing families with something to do after the excitement of the wave-off,” Cr Wreford said.
Olympic champion Cathy Freeman will wave the flag at 10am to send riders on their way as they travel en-masse to Phillip Island.
Casey councillor and chairperson of the MRA Cranbourne GP Run organising committee, Wayne Smith, also encouraged residents to come to Cranbourne for one of the most exciting events on the Casey events calendar.
“There are so many free activities on offer this year in addition to the motorcycles which make the MRA Cranbourne GP Run a superb day out for the entire community,” Cr Smith said.
