TWO girls were taken to hospital when they fell from horses in two separate incidents last Wednesday.
A 14-year-old girl broke her right arm when she was thrown from a horse after it began to buck in Devon Meadows about 11.30am.
Paramedic David Pardoe said the girl also had grazes to her right hip, but did not hit her head.
“She was understandably distressed by what happened, so we did our best to calm her and gave her some pain relief medication through an inhaler,” Mr Pardoe said.
Less than two hours later, paramedics attended another horse incident in Tooradin, after an eight-year-old girl slipped from the saddle and fell on a sandy surface.
Paramedics said she wore a helmet but suffered some pain in her knees and was taken to Dandenong Hospital.
