FROM one studio to the next, Kilberry Valley Primary School will hit the airwaves this weekend.
Channel 7 weather presenter David Brown visited the school recently to feature its television studio in the weekly segment held on the news each Saturday, which profiles education initiatives in schools.
Students use the studio to record and broadcast school news and upcoming events. There is a media server at the school and it allows for live broadcasts.
ICT teacher Damien Cardona said the students thoroughly enjoyed Mr Brown’s visit, and spoke to him about their use of the green screen.
“The kids talked about how they use it, what sort of things they like about it and what they find scary about it,” he said.
Mr Cardona said the use of the studio improved the confidence of students.
The school will feature on the Channel 7 news on Saturday.
