Zone out in zones

By Kelly Yates
CASEY traffic police nabbed 25 drivers speeding through school zones in Cranbourne and Hampton Park last Thursday.
Operation Juno was launched in the City of Casey in an effort to stop drivers ignoring the school zone speed limits.
Police targeted the school zones near Cranbourne Park and Hampton Park primary schools.
Leading Senior Constable Allen Inderwisch said police also caught four people driving without wearing seatbelts and four motorists driving while on a mobile phone during the operation.
“We also got one suspended driver, one disqualified driver, one driver failing to display P-plates, one failing to carry a probationary licence and one failing to notify a change of address,” Lead Sen Const Inderwisch said.
