MORE than 40 cultures are represented at Kilberry Valley Primary School.
So the events of Multicultural Week at the Hampton Park school last week were a fitting way for students and staff to celebrate cultural diversity.
Students had been taking part in activities representing different cultures all week, and finished off with a parade and sharing of food on Friday.
LOTE co-ordinator Manieka Radford said students and parents had responded well to the week of activities.
“Because we’re made up of so many different cultures, it’s good to get the students aware of other cultures and how they’re different from what they know,” Ms Radford said.
