A parachutist suffered a suspected fracture to his ankle when he landed heavily at Tooradin airfield around 11.30am on Sunday.
Advanced life support paramedic Rohan Mostert says the 45-year-old man said he didn’t slow down in time.
“The man told us it was a normal descent, but he didn’t slow enough, and landed at about 50 kilometres an hour,” Mr Mostert said.
“The man suffered a possible fracture to his ankle and other leg injuries.”
He was taken to Dandenong Hospital in a stable condition.
