NARRE Warren SES will be at local Bunnings warehouse stores this weekend, offering advice for residents to stay storm safe.
The statewide SES campaign StormSafe runs until 23 August, and aims to educate and encourage the community to be prepared for severe storms.
The Narre Warren unit responded to more than 800 requests for assist-ance in the last year, including build-ing damage, fallen trees and flash flooding.
The unit will be at Bunnings Fountain Gate on 21 August between 10am and 3pm and at Bunnings Cranbourne during the same hours the following day.
Residents are encouraged to visit for advice on how to reduce the risk of storm damage to their homes, what to do in an emergency and how to prepare for a Home Emergency Kit.
