THE City of Casey is looking for a local resident to hit the high notes and sing the national anthem at the MRA Cranbourne GP Run.
The council will hold auditions on 12 September to find someone to sing the anthem before motorcyclists are waved off for the event in Cranbourne on 16 October.
All ages are welcome to try out.
The auditions will take place from 9am to 1pm at The Factory in Cranbourne East. Registrations will be taken from 8.30am to midday.
Mayor Lorraine Wreford said the finals would be held at Centro Shopping Centre Cranbourne on 8 October.
“I encourage everyone who loves to sing to come along and show off their talents at the audition session and have the chance to make their mark in front of a huge crowd at the MRA Cranbourne GP Run,” she said.
Anyone interested in applying to be a stallholder for the activities along High Street on the day of the wave-off event can do so by emailing events@casey.vic.gov.au by 5pm on 20 August.
For more information call the City of Casey customer service on 9705 5200.
