THE cupboards are well and truly stocked at the Cranbourne Information and Support Service (CISS), after a donation from the Rotary Club of Cranbourne.
The Rotary Club has provided CISS with vital and quality food staples and other types of emergency relief.
CISS manager Leanne Petrides said the donations were a huge help for the increasingly busy organisation.
“None of it will go to waste,” Ms Petrides said. “The food is the stuff that we normally buy every week. It means we’ll save money that we can now pour into some other forms of support.”
CISS continued to experience a surge in demand for assistance in the Casey area, Ms Petrides said, especially for food and other emergency relief services.
“We’re very grateful for the Rotary Club’s ongoing support. Without donations like this it would be very hard to meet the ever-increasing need in the Casey south area.”
Rotary Club of Cranbourne president Stan Bankes-Fay presented the donations to CISS on Monday.
“The needy families in the community need supporting as much as we can,” Mr Bankes-Fay said.
