PLAIN old Smith has taken the cake as the most common surname in Casey’s big towns.
Smith topped the list in Berwick, Narre Warren and Cranbourne, with Brown making the top three in all towns.
Singh came in second for Narre Warren, and fourth in Cranbourne.
Other names in the top five included Jones and Taylor, according to the White Pages 2010/11 telephone listings.
