PARENTS got a taste of their children’s school life at Courtenay Gardens Primary School recently.
Parents were invited into the Cranbourne school for the See For Yourself Day, which has been running at the school for the past five years.
Teacher Monique Breen said the day gave parents the chance to experience tasks just as their children did.
“Parents, rather than just watching, are expected to join in and complete tasks and activities that their children are doing,” Ms Breen said.
“It has been very successful, and parents joined in on literacy activities, reading and writing tasks as well as numeracy and maths activities.”
Ms Breen said the students enjoyed the fact that their parents had to complete the same work as them.
