TOORADIN’S fire brigade captain says a new ultra light tanker will improve access to shrubby coastal village areas.
CFA Tooradin captain David Bulman accepted the keys to the 600-litre tanker, worth $120,000, from Eastern Victoria Region MP Johan Scheffer on Sunday.
“This new tanker will provide greater firefighting capability and accessibility to local coastal heath areas around Tooradin that are not as accessible to larger tankers,” Mr Bulman said.
The tanker was funded through the State Government’s community safety emergency support program.
