THE safety of an accident hot spot in Cranbourne West will be improved after a $210,000 funding announcement.
Painted edge lines will be built and the shoulder sealed on Evans Road from Thompsons Road to Fairhaven Boulevard as part of the project.
A panel of independent road safety experts recommended the project, which will be carried out during the course of the 2010/2011 financial year.
The Federal Government will fund the project and Holt MP Anthony Byrne said anyone could suggest an intersection or road they thought should be considered for a safety upgrade.
Nomination forms are available at www.nationbuildingprogram.gov.au.
