IT’S time to get out those favourite soup recipes and take advantage of fresh root vegetables and pumpkins available at this weekend’s Pearcedale Produce Market.
Stallholder Amber Crawford said gold pumpkins, carrots, parsnips and just dug potatoes were some of the vegetables on offer at the market on 15 May.
Also featuring at the May market will be a range of beers, chutney, freshly made cheeses, apples, hot egg and bacon rolls, coffee and bunches of flowers.
“Families who love the tradition of preparing Sunday morning breakfast are sure to buy fresh golden eggs that are collected by Janos and Eva Barabas from their happy free range hens,” market manager Suzanne Carter Madej said.
Visitors to the market will also be able to learn about how to set up their own worm farm from City of Casey environmental education officer, Abbie Lane.
The Pearcedale Craft and Produce Market is set to operate on the first Saturday of each month.
It’s all hot and fresh
