VOLUNTEER Week will be celebrated in Casey with an annual awards event tomorrow night.
Casey mayor Lorraine Wreford said Volunteer Week, held from 10 May to 16 May, provided an opportunity to thank the many people in Casey for their work in the community.
“Hundreds of local volunteers regularly give their time and energy to assist others in the community for a variety of reasons, including personal growth, to learn new things, friendship and to give something back to the community,” Cr Wreford said.
