SENIORS can learn about the World Wide Web with the introduction of broadband classes at Merinda Park Learning and Community Centre.
The classes are aimed at providing a friendly environment for people aged 50 years and over who have never had the opportunity to learn computer skills or explore the internet and who may feel daunted by the technology.
Seniors can learn how to use a computer and how to stay in touch with family and friends online.
Volunteers will run the Broadband for Seniors classes on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. Free time on the computer is available on Tuesdays and Thursdays without the help of a tutor.
The classes will be held from noon to 1.30pm and 2pm to 3.30pm.
The computers will be available for free time from 11am to 3.30pm on Tuesdays and 9am to 12.30pm on Thursdays.
There are only two computers available for the program, so bookings are essential. To book call 5996 9056.
