Students flag a special challenge

CRANBOURNE Secondary College has called on the talents of its students to design a new school flag.
Year 11 visual communication students will each come up with a design for the school flag, which will eventually fly alongside the Australian and Aboriginal flags at the school.
Melbourne designer Carolyn Simm presented a brief to the students about what a client expects and how to bring their design up to a professional standard when she visited last week to share some advice.
Student wellbeing co-ordinator Jan McAleese said the students had three weeks to present their design before a decision would be made on the winner.
She said the students were enthralled with the presentation.
The chosen flag would symbolise the college’s identity, Ms McAleese said.
