GRANT applications for recreational fishing projects will open next week. Members of fishing clubs and community groups are among those who are able to apply for the 2009/10 Recreational Fishing Grants Program.
The small grants category will fund projects up to $5000, while $100,000 is available through the large grants section. Applications open 29 March.
Agriculture Minister Joe Helper said organisations that wanted to improve their local fishing were encouraged to submit project proposals. Phone the Recreational Fishing Grants Program on 9658 4779.
