ABOUT 3000 people enjoyed a family day in the sun at the rejuvenated Coastal Villages Autumn Festival on the weekend.
Locals enjoyed a host of activities, including music, dance, rides and craft stalls, at the festival in Blind Bight on Sunday.
Committee president for the event, Tracie Reichelt, said it was biggest crowd in the event’s history.
“I was very excited. I haven’t had anything but positive feedback and the weather was perfect,” Ms Reichelt said.
“I was amazed. There were so many families.”
The event is held every two years in the coastal villages but last year’s event did not get up.
Ms Reichelt said she got involved with the committee when she heard it needed more people and next thing she knew she was president.
Ms Reichelt said she was proud the event was a huge success and said the other committee members and about 40 volunteers on the day helped the event run smoothly.
Other entertainment included Darryl Cotton, talent competitions and car displays.
