Fresh appeal

WATERMELONS, sweet corn and apples will feature at the Pearcedale Produce Market this weekend.
Easter time harvest also welcomes onions and leafy Chinese greens. This Saturday’s market will be held from 8am to 1pm at the Pearcedale Recreation Reserve.
Greg and Jenny Bradshaw’s apples will make a return to the market.
Ms Bradshaw said a truck load of delicious crunchy apples, perfect for school lunches, had been selected.
“The best part about shopping at a produce market is the freshness, colour and fantastic tastings of direct from the farm fruit and vegetables on offer to eager shoppers,” Ms Bradshaw said.
Locally produced mushrooms, eggs, fresh cheese and bunches of Easter daisies also will be available.
The Pearcedale Craft and Produce Market will be held on 3 April with the aim of supporting local community families who bake, grow or make the produce and wares they sell.
For information about the markets call 0425 794 941.
